A quilt is generally defined as 3 layers,
the quilt top which carries the design, the wadding and the plain backing fabric.
A quilt which just has fleece backing and doesn't therefore require wadding is classed as a throw - any small quilt (less than a single bed-size) can be backed with fleece.
Once the commission has been confirmed we will agree a time frame to stitch it -
completion time will be within 8 weeks,
A £100 deposit towards initial material costs will be payable, which is non-refundable, but will be deducted from your final invoice.
We charge a £25 admin fee to cover initial correspondence and design,
£20 per hour for stitching and then all fabric, thread & wadding costs, plus final P&P.
Personalised quilting (eg. baby's name, DoB etc) is an additional £10.
The more complex design the longer completion will take and hence the more it will cost.
A fairly simple double quilt will cost approximately £450 - £500.
